The OCR nationals offer a comprehensive range of user, practitioner and multimedia units which will stimulate students creativity and develop real world, practical skills that will motivate learning across a wide range of subjects and prepare them for the real world of work or further education.
The OCR Level 2 Nationals in ICT comprise:
OCR Level 2 National First Award in ICT (06324): same size/level as 1 GCSE grade A*-C
OCR Level 2 National Award in ICT (06325): same size/level as 2 GCSEs grades A*-C
OCR Level 2 National First Certificate in ICT (06299): same size/level as 3 GCSEs grades A*-C
OCR Level 2 National Certificate in ICT (06276): same size/level as 4 GCSEs A*-C or GNVQ Intermediate.
The OCR consists of 23 units, all students must complete unit 1 and the school will select further units for the students to complete depending on the number of GCSE’s that they are aiming for. The table below includes the combination of units that must be completed to gain the different amounts of GCSE’s and a list of the units that students can complete.
