Between 4th and 6th October 2009, 84 Year 7 students and 7 Prefects from Year 11 took part in a three day residential course at the Conway Centre in Anglesey.
The trip involved students taking part in a variety of activities during which they were required to work as a ‘team’ in a friendly but competitive environment. The activities had been carefully planned by teachers of The Bankfield School so that all students were able to contribute positively to the experience.
Students took part in creative ‘indoor’ sessions and each Form produced a major collective piece of Art work and Drama. In addition, students took part in woodland adventure sessions during their stay, which focussed on the development of team thinking and motivational skills.
All staff involved in the trip were delighted by the outstanding effort and behaviour of the students throughout the trip and the work produced was hugely impressive.
