During the February half term twenty-six pupils and five teachers went on the ski trip to Oberau, Austria. Whilst there we had two ski lessons a day and by the middle of the week all groups were skiing on red or black runs which was an excellent achievement. There were many falls (some very dramatic could have received an Oscar) and each evening we nominated students to wear the pink or red Mohican of shame the following day – on the last day we nominated Miss Holland to wear it!
Each evening we took part in numerous activities organised by the staff. These activities included quiz night, tobogganing, swimming, a treasure hunt and bowling. On the last night we also attended a local disco and were forced to endure Mr Edwards dreadful singing but other than that it was an enjoyable night particularly the dance off with the locals.
A particular highlight of the trip was the teacher’s impression of the coach drivers. We would like to thank all the teachers for organising a great trip we all had a brilliant time!
