The Bankfield School staged a highly successful production of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical ‘Carousel’ last week.  The play was staged on Friday 2nd July as a matinee to the schools’ primary feeder schools and to the general public on Monday 5th, Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July.

On the last night, a professional circus performer wowed the crowd during the play and in the interval.  Well done to the cast and crew in staging such a difficult musical in such a brilliant way!  And as we go towards the summer holidays (and Year 11 enter a new exciting phase of their lives) I would just like to say that when you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark……….  Mr P Kennedy
